Lights. Camera. Action.

Have you ever gone to an art gallery, stood back and studied a picture trying to get the full meaning of what the artist is conveying? We know a picture can tell us a thousand words. It's expressive. It tells a story. It leaves lasting impressions. 

I've been a long time fan of Allison's work and now we finally get to team up. I remember the first wedding she photographed. That was the beginning of many more to come. Whether it's a tear running down the groom's face or the guests in awe of the beautiful bride walking down the aisle, Allison catches every moment. She's so stealth you don't even see her most of the time. From the time the bride and bridesmaids are getting ready to the time they're in the limo she's right there capturing those priceless behind the scene moments. And you relive those same moments as you look back at each picture.

There's much more to Allison than being a wedding photographer. Anything that requires photography Allison can do it. It can be senior pictures, family pictures, head shots or you name it. I can admit it, I'm terrible when it comes to me being in a photoshoot. I just don't know what to do so it takes some coaching. It feels awkward...stand here, do this and do that. I must say that a photoshoot with Allison is soooo much fun. She makes you feel comfortable and totally forget that you're even taking pictures. If you're laughing in conversation you better believe she captured it. If you're singing to a tune stuck in your head or if you're just laughing at yourself because you don't know what to do next, I guarantee she probably took 10 shots of you. Speaking from experience, some of the shots she got of me I didn't even realize she took them. And for the other shots how did they turn out so well?... Ok, so I'm a HUGE germaphobe and out of all things she asked me to lay down on the sidewalk downtown. The SIDEWALK!!! Looking at the picture now it looks like I was happy, laughing and having a good time. The whole time I was freaking out and everybody was laughing at me, including myself. How did she do that? How did she turn a super awkward moment into a piece of art? Allison never ceases to amaze me. No doubt there's a difference between taking a picture and capturing a moment. It's those candid shots that you can't stage. 

I think it's fair to say that every photographer has their own style. What sets Allison apart? She doesn't just take pictures. She tells the story. Allison captures moments that most can easily miss. And how can you not enjoy being in the presence of such an awesome person.
